Title: Climate Change part of third National Wildlife Action Plan

The government of India has unveiled the third National Wildlife Action Plan, spelling out the roadmap for wildlife conservation until 2031. The first such plan was implemented from 1983 to 2001 and, second 2002-16. The latest plan is unique as this is the first time India has recognised the concerns relating to the impact of climate change on wildlife and stressed on integrating actions that need to be taken for its mitigation and adaptation into wildlife management planning processes.
