Two years after the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur submitted the report of a comprehensive study on pollution sources in the Capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said another study on causes of pollution would be conducted. Referring to the IIT-Kanpur study, which was commissioned by the Delhi government in 2013, Mr Kejriwal said the study had been done a few years ago and there was a need for a “round-the-year” investigation of the sources of pollution. A new study detailing the top contributors of pollution in different months would be done. In addition, he announced that machines that would help calculate the contribution of different sources of pollution would be procured.
