Title: Karnataka government clears suburban rail project, Metro to airport

The Karnataka government on 10 January 2019 cleared the much awaited Rs 23,000 crore suburban railway corridor project and greenlighted a change in alignment of Namma Metro project to provide seamless connectivity to the Kempegowda International Airport. The cabinet cleared the projects, which seek to ease traffic congestion on the city roads. As per the changed alignment, the Nagawara-airport Metro line will run via Hebbal and Jakkur.
