Title: Shimla first to develop city sanitation plan

Shimla is the first city in the state to develop a city sanitation plan, besides implementing the decentralized Waste Water Treatment Technology in some areas of Shimla town. The minister said a project to the tune of Rs 168.68 crore had been submitted to the Central Government for the construction of toilets and solid waste management in rural areas.
