Title: Pollution down by up to 21% at 13 Delhi hotspots

Delhi’s air quality is gradually improving in terms of both annual PM2.5 and PM10 levels, data shared by Delhi government for the period between 2014 and 2019 showed. Also, since 2018 onwards, the pollution levels have gone down considerably at the 13 new hotspots identified for concerted action. Environment minister Mr Gopal Rai shared the data released by Delhi Pollution Control Committee on Thursday. Among the 13 pollution hotspots, Jahangirpuri showed the biggest improvement in terms of annual PM2.5 concentration, which dropped by 21% from a reading of 164 micrograms per cubic metre in 2018 to 129 micrograms per cubic metre in 2019.
