Title: India creates online renewables database

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India and the US Department of Energy (DOE) have developed an online Indian Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Policy Database (IREEED) that aims at disseminating information on the renewable energy and energy efficiency policy and regulatory framework in India. The final version of the database will be released in September 2013 and will include policies, regulations, and incentive programmes offered by the central government and all states for both energy efficiency and renewable energy.
