The Indian state of Gujarat is about to issue a new policy regulating rooftop solar. The policy will run until the end of March 2015 and would target 20 MW of residential rooftop installations and a further 20 MW of industrial, commercial, institutional and agricultural systems. According to the policy non-residential systems would be limited to a maximum of 6 per cent of the installer's energy bill for the previous year and a maximum 100 kW capacity.
