According to statements by government officials, the government of Karnataka state will introduce a new policy for the wind sector in about two months. The state government also plans to revise its solar energy policy to include incentives for rooftop solar plants and solar-powered water pumps. A technical committee has already been established to make a draft of the planned policy changes for solar power in a month. It will also work on filling the gaps in Karnataka's solar energy policy, where necessary.
