The KERC (Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission) announced a new tariff for wind energy at Rs 4.20 per unit, for the next five years without escalation. The previous rate for the purchase of wind energy was Rs 3.70. KERC had already communicated both the wind energy tariff and revised solar energy rates to all the escoms and they would be implemented immediately.
