The Himachal Pradesh Town & Country Planning Rules, 1978 has four chapters. Chapter I gives the definitions for title and various other terms like Act, Authority, Chief Executive Officer, Form, Section, Secretary Chapter II deals with Regional Planning. Chapter III defines the Planning Areas and Development Plans i.e. manner of publication of existing land use, approved interim development plan, publication of Draft Development Plan, publication of approved development plan, and Interim
Development Plan/Development Plans. Chapter IV deals with the Control of Development and Use of Land. The formats for several forms like Publication of draft regional plan, notification of the approval of regional plan, notice of the modification in the regional plan, notification of publication of existing landuse map, etc. are given
