Title: Draft Notification declaring Ecologically Sensitive Area in Western Ghats in the states of Gujarat, Maharahstra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu

In this draft notification, the government proposes to issue in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 was published as required under sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986 for the information of the public likely to be affected thereby; and the said notification shall be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of 60 days from the date on which copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the public.
