The Road Transport Ministry has tightened vehicle emission and noise pollution norms as the government intends to award star ratings to vehicles based on their compliance standards. All automobile manufacturers, including e-rickshaw and e-cart makers, will have to make detailed declarations about the emission and noise pollution levels of their vehicles from April 1 next year.
