The EU (European Union), in collaboration with TERI (The Energy and Resource Institute), has selected Goa for a pilot project for preparing a local action plan for Goa to achieve clean air. The plan is currently being drafted by an EU representative. A team comprising EU and TERI representatives visited Goa last September. A senior official of the GSPCB (Goa State Pollution Control Board) said they were part of a two-day workshop for stakeholders. The aim of the programme was to introduce the knowledge and skills required to draft and implement local air quality action plans through sharing of the EU experience.
