Title: States to get Sops under Solar Park Scheme 2.0

The Centre has introduced a financial incentive for states and tweaked its policy to address two major issues plaguing solar park developer’s shortage of land and lack of transmission facility. States will earn Rs 0.02 for every unit of power produced at the solar parks, irrespective of where it is supplied, according to a letter to the principal secretaries of all states from the ministry of new and renewable energy. The letter is also addressed to the managing director of the SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) and solar park developers.
