Title: NGO invents rickshaw that runs on solar power

A local NGO, Graduates Welfare Association Fazilka, has achieved a milestone by introducing a solar energy-run rickshaw. The model, Surya, was kicked off on the fifth anniversary of Ecocab (a light-weight modern rickshaw) at the Non-Motor Research and Development Centre here. The rickshaw generates 200-watt solar power through four photo voltaic panels, which also act as a roof for the 250-watt DC motor (fitted on the rickshaw).
