Title: World Bank funds Rs 560 crore under carbon credit plan

The World Bank has funded Rs 560 crore under the carbon credit plan for the environment conservation of the greenery and scenery in Himachal Pradesh, India. This was stated by Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board Chairman Mr Kuldeep Singh Pathania. Mr Pathania said the plan for the disposal of solid waste management in the municipal areas in the state was under the consideration. He said the waste would be used for generating energy and gas to meet the requirement of electricity and cooking gas, adding that in the first phase four such units would be set up at different locations of the state.
