Title: Arunachal accepts medicinal and aromatic plants policy draft

Arunachal Pradesh will start preparing policy framework for conservation and sustainable use of MAP (medicinal and aromatic plants) in the state as the MAP policy draft has been accepted 'in principle'. This development came after a day-long workshop on policy and legal review, which focused on traditional knowledge and participatory forest management, under a project titled "Mainstreaming Conservation and Sustainable Use of Medicinal Plant Diversity in Arunachal Pradesh" held recently.
