The NHB (National Housing Bank) and the MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy on March 31 2014, signed a memorandum of understanding to channelise subsidy for solar energy usage.“Under the terms of the MoU, the NHB will act as a nodal agency for channelising the capital subsidy available under the JNNSM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. Subsidy will be channelised through retail lending institutions such as banks and housing finance companies.
