Title: Tata Power commissions 25MW solar farm in Maharashtra

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has successfully commissioned a 25MW solar farm in Maharashtra's Satara district, the company said on June 02 2014. The 130-acre plant, located at Palaswadi village in Maan taluka, uses crystalline silicon photo-voltaic technology. The plant is expected to generate about 46MU per year, which will enable Tata Power to meet its solar renewable purchase obligations. It is one of the largest solar plants set up by a private power utility in Maharashtra. The power produced by it will be evacuated through the state transmission network.
