As Rajasthan is on course to achieve over 30,000 MW renewable energy by 2025, including 25,000 from solar alone, storage has to play key role, said World Resources Institute – India, along with Bask Research Foundation and Customised Energy Solutions which prepared a roadmap for the state. It said renewable energy costs with battery storage solutions will come down with the increase in generation capacity. The study says integrating battery storage systems onto the grid could save up to Rs 1,400 crore of system level costs in Rajasthan.
