The state energy department has focused on realisation of the 42 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) that it entered during the recent global investors’ summit in the energy sector for investments worth ₹ 9.57 lakh crore.The department is planning to frame a special mechanism to achieve this gigantic task. Support will be sought from other line departments for this. The proposed projects under these MoUs include 25 GW renewable energy capacity projects in the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa, Visakhapatnam, and Vizianagaram.
